Jerry Kerns is the editor-in-chief of Morningstar magazine. He is the founding editor of the magazine, which launched in 2007. He has held a variety of other editorial roles since joining Morningstar in 1996. Kerns holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri.
