The academy is dedicated to advancing body contouring worldwide. It is co-chaired by Dr. Alfredo Hoyos and Dr. Ashkan Ghavami, with Dr. Kiya Movassaghi serving as Scientific Chair.
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Nov. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Beverly Hills Body Academy™ (BHBA) announced its formation as the world's first body contouring academy permanently based in Beverly Hills. The academy's office is at 9465 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 300, in the Golden Triangle of Beverly Hills.
For the first time, body contouring has a permanent home. BHBA exists to advance the specialty as a whole: raising the standard of patient safety, refining how surgeons are taught, and moving the industry forward, from Beverly Hills to the world.
BHBA is led by three chairs. Dr. Alfredo Hoyos, pioneer of HD Liposuction, and Dr. Ashkan Ghavami, creator of the S-Curve®, serve as Co-Chairmen. Dr. Kiya Movassaghi, past president of The Aesthetic Society, serves as Scientific Chair.
The chairs are joined by the BHBA Academy Council: Dr. Adam Rubinstein, Dr. Ali Tehrani, Dr. Al Aly, Dr. Jerry Chidester and Dr. Alexandre Sanfurgo.
BHBA will bring the leading surgeons in the field together in Beverly Hills each year, beginning in November 2026. Membership is limited and reserved for board-certified and board-eligible plastic surgeons.
