Major release introduces new and updated enterprise reports, real-time web monitoring, and faster troubleshooting for database administrators
HOUSTON, Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Idera, Inc., a provider of database and IT productivity solutions, today announced the general availability of SQL Diagnostic Manager 14.3, its SQL Server performance monitoring and diagnostics platform. The release introduces a modernized Windows Console, new and updated enterprise-level reports, and real-time instance monitoring in the Web Console, helping database administrators (DBAs) diagnose problems faster and assess performance across multiple SQL Servers.
SQL Diagnostic Manager 14.3 brings a cleaner, more consistent interface to frequently used workflows, including server monitoring, queries, sessions, blocking, resources, databases, and configuration. An enhanced Query Monitor consolidates troubleshooting information, while refreshed report navigation, parameters, and drill-through views simplify analysis. An updated dark theme offers an additional viewing option.
"DBAs have trusted SQL Diagnostic Manager for years because it shows them exactly what's happening inside SQL Server. With 14.3, we rebuilt the areas they work in most, from the console and Query Monitor to sessions, blocking, and reporting, so everyday troubleshooting moves faster without losing any diagnostic depth. The new enterprise reports and real-time web monitoring take that further, letting teams spot issues across every server they monitor and resolve them sooner," said Max Hunsicker, General Manager at Idera.
New and Updated Enterprise Reports
The new reports enable cross-server analysis without requiring teams to investigate each instance individually:
- Enterprise Top Queries identifies high-impact queries across servers.
- Enterprise Blocking highlights blocking duration, blocked sessions, and top blocking queries.
- Enterprise Query Wait Statistics summarizes query waits across servers.
- Enterprise Top Databases ranks databases by size, growth, reads, writes, and transaction activity.
- Enterprise Server Resources surfaces CPU, disk, and memory utilization, including peak activity periods.
Additional Enhancements
Real-time instance monitoring in the Web Console allows DBAs to observe server activity without waiting for the next scheduled collection cycle. Expanded database views provide capacity trends, file and disk details, backup and restore history, table and index analysis, and configuration information. Configuration templates speed up monitoring setup across servers, while updated default alert thresholds help reduce unnecessary critical alerts. The release also includes an updated installer and support for deploying the SQL Diagnostic Manager repository on Amazon RDS Custom for SQL Server.
These enhancements build on SQL Diagnostic Manager's existing monitoring capabilities, including query-level diagnostics, waits and blocking analysis, and AI-powered query and workload-aware index recommendations introduced in version 14.0.
