MEXICO CITY, Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Total Play Telecomunicaciones, S.A.P.I. de C.V. ("Total Play"), a leading telecommunications company in Mexico, which offers internet access, pay television and telephony services, through one of the largest 100% fiber optic networks in the country, announced today financial results for the third quarter of 2026.
"The strong preference among an increasing number of users for our technologically advanced internet services — which offer superior speed and stability — drove a solid net increase of 143,340 Totalplay Residential subscribers during the quarter," commented Eduardo Kuri, CEO of Total Play. "This growth was supported by more intensive use of the company's fiber-optic network, as we added more subscribers to our world-class infrastructure without requiring additional investment in geographic coverage."
"Regarding the balance sheet, we were able to reduce the company's net debt balance by 5% as a result of various debt of loans with cost amortizations during the period. These included Ps.500 million in Cebures issued in 2024 — paid this quarter —, US$46 million in Senior Secured Notes due 2028 — done during the first nine months of the year— and US$56 million of the remaining Senior Notes due 2025, which were amortized in November of the previous year. Additionally, we reduced lease liabilities by Ps.776 million, which further strengthened Total Play's capital structure," added Mr. Kuri.
Third quarter results
Quarterly revenue was Ps.11,496 million, compared to Ps.11,301 million in the same period of the previous year. Total costs and expenses were Ps.6,552 million, up from Ps.6,202 million the year before.
As a result, Total Play's EBITDA was Ps.4,944 million, compared to Ps.5,099 million a year ago; the EBITDA margin for the quarter was 43%. The company recorded an operating profit of Ps.691 million, up from Ps.390 million the previous year.
Totalplay reported a net loss of Ps.1,331 million, compared to a loss of Ps.665 million in the same quarter of 2025.

Revenue from services
The company's revenue increased by 2%, as a result of 3% growth in sales of the residential segment and 10% reduction in revenue from the enterprise business.
The increase in revenue for Totalplay Residencial — to Ps.10,169 million from Ps.9,827 million the previous year — is related to 8% growth in the number of the company's service subscribers compared to the same quarter of the prior year, reaching 5,819,286 this period (a figure that includes 68,793 small and medium-sized enterprises). Compared to the previous quarter, the subscriber base grew by 143,340 users. The company believes that the number of users reached this quarter reflects its notable capacity to offer technologically advanced internet services — characterized by superior stability and speed — as well as continuous innovation in its entertainment platform and excellence in service.
Average revenue per user (ARPU) for the quarter was Ps.576, from Ps.598 a year ago. This decline in ARPU is largely attributable to an increasing proportion of users with double-play packages — compared to those with triple-play packages — within the total base of residential subscribers.
The number of homes passed by Total Play in Mexico at the end of this period was 19.5 million, up from 17.6 million a year earlier.
Penetration — the proportion of homes passed by Total Play that subscribe to the company's telecommunications services — was 29.8% at the end of the quarter, compared to 30.6% a year earlier.
Revenue for the enterprise segment was Ps.1,327 million, compared to Ps.1,474 million the previous year. The decrease is due to projects with a predetermined duration that concluded this period.
Costs and expenses
Total costs and expenses increased 6%, as a result of 12% growth in service costs and 3% increase in general expenses.
The increase in costs — to Ps.1,784 million, up from Ps.1,591 million the previous year — is primarily due to higher membership costs, partially offset by lower costs related to enterprise projects, as well as lower link rents.
The increase in expenses, to Ps.4,768 million, from Ps.4,611 million, reflects higher personnel, advertising and promotion expenses this period.
EBITDA and net result
Total Play's EBITDA was Ps.4,944 million, compared to Ps.5,099 million the previous year.
Relevant variations below EBITDA were the following:
A reduction of Ps. 456 million in depreciation and amortization, resulting from the end of the useful life of a group of assets.
A decrease of Ps. 264 million in accrued interest expense, in the context of a reduction in the company's debt with cost balance during the period.
A foreign exchange loss of Ps.453 million — compared to a foreign exchange gain of Ps.828 million a year earlier — resulting from a net monetary liability position in foreign currency, combined with depreciation of the peso against the basket of currencies in which the company's monetary liabilities are denominated during this quarter, compared to appreciation in the prior year.
Total Play reported a net loss of Ps.1,331 million, compared to a loss of Ps.665 million in the same period of 2025.
Balance sheet
As of September 30, 2026, the company's debt with cost was Ps. 55,157 million, 4% lower than Ps. 57,338 million recorded a year earlier. This reduction is the result of various debt of loans with cost amortizations during the period, including Ps. 500 million in Cebures issued in 2024 — paid this quarter — US$46 million in Senior Secured Notes due 2028 — done during the first nine months of the year — and US$56 million representing the remainder of Senior Notes due 2025, which were amortized in the fourth quarter of the previous year.
The lease liability was Ps.2,480 million, 24% lower compared to Ps.3,256 million the previous year.
The balance of cash and cash equivalents, as well as restricted cash held in trusts, was Ps.6,780 million, compared to Ps.6,981 million a year earlier. As a result, the company's net debt was Ps.50,857 million, 5% lower than the Ps.53,613 million recorded the previous year.
The leverage ratio — Net Debt / EBITDA for the last two quarters, annualized — was 2.54x.
Total Play's fixed assets — which include cumulative investment in fiber optics, telecommunications equipment, and subscriber acquisition costs, among other assets — was Ps.76,921 million, compared to Ps.82,239 million a year ago.
Nine-month results
Revenue for the first nine months of 2026 was Ps.34,033 million — 1% higher than the Ps.33,695 million recorded in the previous year — reflecting a 2% increase in residential revenue and an 8% decrease in enterprise revenue. Total costs and expenses rose 6% to Ps.19,166 million, up from Ps.18,115 million, driven by 6% increase in general expenses and 6% growth in service costs.
Total Play reported EBITDA of Ps.14,867 million, compared to Ps.15,580 million the previous year; the EBITDA margin for the period was 44%. Operating profit was Ps. 1,645 million, compared to Ps. 1,647 million in the same period of 2025.
The company recorded net loss of Ps.3,020 million, compared to a loss of Ps.2,446 million a year ago.
