BRANDON, Fla., Oct. 26, 2026
BRANDON, Fla., Oct. 26, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- United Vein & Vascular Centers (UVVC) has opened a new Brandon vein clinic at 517 Eichenfeld Dr., Suite 106, Brandon, FL 33511. The clinic begins seeing patients today, Oct. 26, 2026, offering vein screenings, diagnostic evaluations, and minimally invasive treatment for vein conditions.
The new location serves patients from Brandon, Riverview, Valrico, Seffner, Bloomingdale, Lithia, and other eastern Hillsborough County communities. Located within Brandon's established medical corridor, the clinic provides another option for patients who previously traveled farther into Tampa or elsewhere in the region for specialized vein care.
Appointments are now available. Patients can request a vein screening at the Brandon clinic or call (800) 952-5954 to speak with the care team.
Specialized Vein Care Along Brandon's Medical Corridor
Brandon serves as a healthcare, employment, and commercial hub for much of eastern Hillsborough County. A normal day may include a commute along Brandon Boulevard, Interstate 75, or the Selmon Expressway; hours spent sitting or standing at work; and trips between Brandon, Riverview, Valrico, Seffner, and surrounding communities.
When aching, swelling, cramping, or heaviness develops in the legs, those routines may become more difficult. Someone may need additional breaks during the workday, feel uncomfortable during a long drive, or begin limiting walks and other activities. For patients whose care involves multiple appointments, traveling across the Tampa area can create another reason to postpone an evaluation or follow-up visit.
The new clinic places specialized outpatient vein care on Eichenfeld Drive, near other physician offices and healthcare facilities in Brandon's medical corridor. Patients can begin with a screening and, when appropriate, return to the same local clinic for diagnostic testing, treatment, and follow-up care. Its location also provides a more convenient point of access for people traveling from communities south and east of Tampa, where Brandon often serves as the closest major center for medical services.
Two Experienced Surgeons Launch the Brandon Care Team
The Brandon clinic opens with care from Dr. Andrew Georgeson and Dr. Romina Deldar, whose backgrounds bring complementary experience to the evaluation and treatment of vein disease.
Dr. Georgeson is one of UVVC's Senior Regional Medical Directors and a board-certified surgeon with more than 30 years of medical experience. He has specialized in vein treatment for more than 25 years and has an extensive background in general and vascular surgery, minimally invasive venous procedures, advanced laparoscopic surgery, cosmetic surgical procedures, and trauma surgery. His approach emphasizes using the least invasive and lowest-risk treatment appropriate for the individual patient. Symptoms, ultrasound findings, medical history, vascular health, and the location and function of the affected veins are considered before a treatment recommendation is made.
Dr. Deldar is a board-certified surgeon and vein specialist with advanced training in general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery. Her background combines detailed knowledge of anatomy and surgical technique with an understanding of the functional and visible concerns that may lead a patient to seek vein care. Dr. Deldar's clinical interests include chronic venous insufficiency, varicose veins, wound care, and comprehensive management of lower-extremity venous disease. Her care philosophy emphasizes trust, clear communication, and treatment plans tailored to the needs and goals of each patient.
Together, the physicians and Brandon care team begin by listening to what the patient has noticed and how the concern affects work, sleep, mobility, comfort, or confidence. The purpose of an initial screening is to better understand the concern, not to assume that every patient has vein disease or needs a procedure.
Leg Symptoms Can Signal More Than a Long Day
Varicose veins are one of the most recognizable signs of vein disease, but they are not the only reason a patient may seek an evaluation. The Brandon clinic evaluates and treats several vein conditions:
- Varicose veins: Enlarged, twisted, or bulging veins that may develop alongside aching, throbbing, swelling, heaviness, or fatigue
- Spider veins: Small red, blue, or purple veins near the skin's surface that may create web-like patterns and cause burning or itching for some patients
- Reticular veins: Blue or green veins that are larger than spider veins but smaller than varicose veins and may contribute to visible changes or discomfort
- Chronic venous insufficiency: A condition in which weakened or damaged vein valves make it difficult for blood to circulate efficiently out of the legs
- Venous reflux: Backward blood flow that occurs when valves inside the veins do not close or function properly
For some patients, the first sign is a visible vein or discoloration around the lower leg or ankle. Others experience swelling, aching, heaviness, fatigue, burning, itching, cramps, or restlessness without seeing a prominent vein. Symptoms may become more noticeable after extended periods of sitting or standing. They can also affect daily decisions, such as how long someone remains on their feet, whether they take an evening walk, or how comfortable they feel during work, travel, exercise, and time with family. Some people initially try leg elevation, activity changes, or compression stockings. If the concern continues or becomes more difficult to manage, a vein screening can help determine whether additional evaluation may be appropriate.
From a Patient's Concern to a Clearer Clinical Picture
A vein screening begins with a conversation about the symptoms or visible changes the patient has noticed. The care team may ask when the concern began, whether it changes during the day, what makes it better or worse, and how it affects the patient's usual activities.
When additional evaluation is appropriate, diagnostic ultrasound imaging can help the physician examine blood flow and identify veins that may not be functioning properly beneath the skin. Those findings are considered alongside the patient's physical examination, medical history, symptoms, vascular health, and vein anatomy. The results may lead to continued monitoring, conservative care, a minimally invasive procedure, further evaluation, or no treatment. Recommendations are based on the complete clinical picture rather than one symptom or visible vein.
Minimally Invasive Vein Treatment Options in Brandon
When treatment is recommended, the procedure is selected according to the size, location, and function of the affected veins, as well as the patient's symptoms and ultrasound findings. The Brandon clinic offers several minimally invasive vein procedures:
- Radiofrequency ablation (RFA): A thermal treatment that uses controlled heat to close a vein that is not circulating blood properly. Blood then naturally reroutes through healthier veins nearby.
- VenaSeal™: A nonthermal treatment that uses a medical adhesive to close an affected vein without heat. Eligibility depends on the patient's clinical evaluation and vein anatomy.
- Varithena®: An injectable microfoam treatment used to close certain affected veins, including some varicose veins.
- Ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy: A procedure in which ultrasound imaging guides an injectable medical solution into a targeted vein. The vein closes while blood reroutes through healthier veins.
- Microphlebectomy: A procedure that removes larger, visible varicose veins through very small openings in the skin and may help address related discomfort and bulging veins.
A patient may need one treatment, a combination of procedures, additional evaluation, or no procedure at all. Dr. Georgeson and Dr. Deldar base their recommendations on the individual patient and the veins being addressed.
What Tampa Bay Patients Say About Their Care
Patients treated at UVVC clinics throughout Tampa Bay have described how leg symptoms affected their ability to work, rest, walk, and participate in everyday activities. Their experiences also highlight the importance of receiving an individualized evaluation and understanding the reason behind a recommended treatment plan.
"I definitely think my legs feel better at night when I fall asleep, and I've had more energy. I've been walking more." -Nancy G.
Extending UVVC's Tampa Bay Network Into Eastern Hillsborough County
The Brandon opening extends UVVC's Tampa Bay presence farther into eastern Hillsborough County. With the new clinic now seeing patients, UVVC operates nine clinic locations across the Tampa Bay region and 17 locations throughout Florida. For patients, the regional network provides more options for beginning care and completing recommended appointments closer to home. The Brandon location creates a connection between UVVC's existing Tampa Bay clinics and the communities east and southeast of Tampa.
That position is especially relevant for residents of Brandon, Riverview, Valrico, Seffner, Bloomingdale, and Lithia, who may otherwise travel into Tampa or across Hillsborough County for specialized care. By opening within a medical district that many residents already visit, UVVC is bringing vein screening, treatment, and follow-up care closer to established daily routes.
Schedule a Vein Screening in Brandon
If ongoing leg discomfort, swelling, or visible vein changes are becoming more difficult to overlook, a vein screening can provide a place to begin. Patients can discuss what they have noticed, how it affects their routine, and whether additional evaluation may be appropriate.
