Pacsun Celebrated Its Continued Partnership with an Exclusive First Look at the New Rare DNM Edit, Building on More Than $2 Million in Support for Youth Mental Health
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Pacsun, the purpose-driven specialty fashion retailer rooted in youth culture, celebrated its continued partnership with Selena Gomez's Rare Impact Fund as an official sponsor of the fourth annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit: A Night of Radiance & Reflection. Held October 14 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, the evening brought together leaders across entertainment, fashion, business, and philanthropy in support of youth mental health. The sponsorship marked Pacsun's third year supporting the annual Benefit, continuing a partnership that has generated more than $2 million in support of the Rare Impact Fund since 2024.

As part of the evening, Pacsun hosted a dedicated gifting experience, giving attendees an exclusive first look at its newest Rare DNM Edit ahead of the October 29 launch. Guests had the opportunity to select from a curated assortment of pieces from the upcoming holiday collection, offering an early preview of the latest collaboration. The experience brought together fashion, self-expression, and a shared commitment to expanding access to youth mental health resources.
The evening began with a VIP reception featuring an opportunity for guests to connect with Selena Gomez, followed by a program celebrating the Rare Impact Fund's mission to mobilize $100 million for organizations expanding access to youth mental health services and education globally. Emceed by Sean Hayes, the event featured remarks from Gomez and Rare Impact Fund President Elyse Cohen, with performances by Bella Kay and Leon Bridges. During the evening, Gomez also introduced the inaugural Katherine Short Legacy Award created in memory of Martin Short's Daughter, Katherine Short, to honor those making a lasting commitment to mental health and their communities. The first award was presented to La Familia Counseling Center in recognition of more than five decades of service and community impact. Guests also participated in live silent auctions and an evening of giving in support of the Rare Impact Fund, helping raise more than $2 million. The night continued with music, a DJ and interactive experiences throughout the Hollywood Palladium.
The preview marked a full-circle moment for Pacsun and the Rare Impact Fund. The first Rare DNM Edit was introduced at the 2024 Benefit, where guests received an exclusive early look at the inaugural collection. Since then, the collaboration has continued to evolve through new collections and initiatives that connect Pacsun's community with the Rare Impact Fund's mission.
The partnership also reflects the priorities of the young people Pacsun serves. According to Pacsun's 2026 Youth Report, conducted in partnership with GlobalData and surveying more than 6,000 young people ages 11–24 across the United States, 59% identified being mentally healthy as a life goal they hope to achieve by age 35. The findings underscore the importance of mental wellbeing to younger generations and reinforce Pacsun's continued commitment to supporting meaningful conversations and resources around youth mental health.
"Our Youth Report reinforces something we've heard directly from young people for years: mental wellbeing is a priority, and they want the brands they support to stand for something meaningful," said Brieane Olson, CEO of Pacsun. "That's what makes our partnership with the Rare Impact Fund so important. We've been able to turn a shared belief in self-expression and community into real support for youth mental health. Returning to the Benefit, where Rare DNM Edit first debuted, and celebrating more than $2 million in support shows what's possible when fashion and purpose come together."
"Young people are already expressing who they are through fashion, so there's a real opportunity to meet them there and make conversations about mental health feel like a natural part of everyday life," said Elyse Cohen, President of the Rare Impact Fund and Chief Impact Officer at Rare Beauty. "That's what has made our partnership with Pacsun so meaningful. Through Rare DNM Edit and their continued support of the Rare Impact Fund, we're finding new ways to reach young people while helping expand access to the mental health resources and support they deserve. We're grateful to Pacsun for continuing to invest in this work and for showing what's possible when brands use their platforms to support young people in meaningful ways."
The newest Rare DNM Edit launches October 29 at select Pacsun stores and online. Continuing its commitment to the Rare Impact Fund, Pacsun will donate 10% of sales from each Rare DNM Edit style purchased to the Fund, up to a maximum donation of $300,000. The following states are excluded from this promotion: Massachusetts, Alabama, Illinois, South Carolina, Mississippi, and Hawaii.
