INDIANA, Pa., Oct. 13, 2026
INDIANA, Pa., Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- S&T Bank, the wholly owned subsidiary of S&T Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: STBA), has been recognized by the American Bankers Association (ABA) with a Community Commitment Award in the Supporting Military Families category, marking the second consecutive year the bank has received the national honor. The award will be presented to the bank during the ABA Annual Convention, Oct. 25-27, 2026, in Salt Lake City.

The ABA Foundation Community Commitment Awards recognize banks for exceptional service and impact in their communities. The Supporting Military Families category honors programs that improve the quality of life for active-duty service members, former service members, veterans and their families.
"Receiving this national recognition for a second consecutive year reflects the dedication of our employees and community partners who continually find ways to honor, support and give back to our military community," said Chris McComish, chief executive officer of S&T Bank. "Their efforts are a powerful example of our people-forward culture in action."
For more than 20 years, S&T has supported veterans, active-duty military members and their families through dedicated programs, financial contributions and employee volunteerism. At the heart of these efforts is the bank's Stars & Stripes Employee Resource Group, which includes nearly 70 employees who provide outreach, mentorship, resources and community engagement for veterans and military families. S&T also offers specialized banking solutions for service members, including its Armed Forces Checking account, which includes features and benefits created with military members and their families in mind.
S&T further supports the military community through both financial contributions and hands-on volunteer efforts. In 2026, the bank donated $50,000 to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors through its S&T Bank Draft Headquarters experience in Pittsburgh. Employees also volunteer with initiatives such as the Veterans Leadership Program Military Food Shares, Wreaths Across America, Cards for Heroes and Veterans Day events. The bank's commitment extends to military families through programs like the March of Dimes Military Baby Shower, which provides resources and essential items to families welcoming a new child.
"This recognition reflects a commitment that reaches across our organization," said Susie Nicholson, chief human resources officer at S&T Bank. "Our veteran and military-connected employees bring their experiences and leadership to this work, while employees across S&T give their time and talents to support military families in our communities. We are honored to recognize those who serve and foster a workplace where their contributions are valued."
