SAN JOSÉ, Costa Rica, Oct. 7, 2026/PRNewswire/ -- Americas Cardroom has outlined Winning Poker Network's response to remote-access security concerns, including ScreenShield activation for relevant players, direct outreach and implementation guidance shared with other online poker operators.
WPN contacted players meeting its detection criteria on September 29 and activated ScreenShield as an additional precaution. Its review found no compromise of WPN systems, poker software or official downloads. The Game Integrity team continues investigating relevant player and account activity.
ScreenShield blocks protected table content from the screen-capture and screen-sharing methods it covers. Players continue seeing their tables normally on their own monitors. The feature can affect legitimate streaming and session recording and does not eliminate every security threat.
Remote-access software can have legitimate work and support uses. Detecting that capability does not, by itself, establish that a device was compromised or that cheating occurred.
Any WPN player can request ScreenShield by emailing support@winningpokernetwork.com. Activation may take up to 48 hours. Regular scans and more proactive application are planned; a client control for individual activation is being developed.
ACR Poker also cooperates with GTO Wizard to cross-check whether situations played on ACR were solved in GTO Wizard. The partners are working to implement broader final-table analysis, aiming to cover every ACR final table. GTO Wizard's public Fair Play Check now includes preflop ICM solutions and timestamps.
Compensation will be determined from investigation findings if wrongdoing and harm to WPN players are established.
