Strengthens Industrial Services Focus
NEW YORK, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Avance Investment Management ("Avance" or the "firm"), a private equity firm that invests in founder-owned, middle market businesses, today announced the addition of Carl Stanton to the firm as a Senior Partner.
The appointment builds on the firm's strong momentum in the industrial services space, which includes Avance's investment in Lexxel, a provider of specialty maintenance and repair services to critical infrastructure, and its investment in Opifex-Synergy, which has grown to become one of the largest independent equipment rental companies in the US.
"The businesses we focus on are technical and human-capital driven – licensed trades, engineers, specialists – and few institutional investors cover them well," said Luis Zaldivar, Co-Founder of Avance. "We see durable demand for decades to come: electrification, reindustrialization and infrastructure renewal all depend on the people who keep these systems running. They are also overwhelmingly founder-owned, and partnering with founders and creating value is what Avance does best."
"We have known and worked with Carl for many years and his experience in these end markets is directly additive to what we are building," said David Perez, Co-Founder of Avance. "We look forward to working with him as we continue expanding in industrial services and growing the firm."
"Avance is world class: an exceptional team with a rare, deep understanding of founder-owned businesses. I am thrilled to join at such an exciting time for the firm," said Mr. Stanton.
Mr. Stanton brings three decades of private equity and alternative asset management experience, having co-led three private equity investment groups. Previously, he served as Managing Partner and Head of Private Equity at Invesco Private Capital, Partner at Focus Impact Partners, and as Managing Partner of Wellspring Capital Management. Across these roles, he focused on transactions in the industrial products and services, business services, and consumer sectors. Mr. Stanton has worked with Avance since 2025 as a Senior Advisor, including on the Lexxel investment, where he serves as Chairman of the Board. Mr. Stanton also serves on various non-profit boards, including the Board of Directors of Wespath Benefits and Investments, an institutional asset owner and benefits administrator, where he chairs the Investments Subcommittee. Mr. Stanton received a B.S. in Accounting from The University of Alabama and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
