TwinMed Deploys Five DeepFabric AI Agents Across Procurement

Agents now in production support about 3,200 purchase orders a month across 260 suppliers, giving buyers more time for sourcing and supplier relationships.
SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif., Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- DeepFabric, the agentic platform for supply chain execution, today announced that Twin Med, LLC ("TwinMed"), a national medical supply distributor serving the post-acute care market, is deploying five DeepFabric AI agents across its procure-to-pay process, with three now in production. The agents handle routine follow-up work, while TwinMed's supply chain team keeps decision authority. The deployment reflects TwinMed's approach of building AI into daily operations, starting with the procurement work behind every customer order.
The agents cover purchase order follow-up, shipment tracking, delivery scheduling, discrepancy resolution and invoice matching. The agents now in production support about 3,200 purchase orders each month across 260 suppliers. They work as one system, sharing context so a discrepancy caught at receiving is already known to the agent matching the invoice. They run on TwinMed's ERP and work through existing channels: EDI, email and a shipment tracking feed. TwinMed started with procurement to give buyers more time for sourcing and supplier negotiation, improve follow-up on open orders and support its team as the business grows.
Early results are encouraging. In the initial months of production use, TwinMed's internal data shows more than 90% fewer late receiving-discrepancy reports and about 60% faster resolution of supplier issues compared with the six months before deployment.
"We're a distributor, so procurement is the engine of our business, and that's where we chose to put AI to work first," said David Klarner, Chief Financial Officer of TwinMed. "These agents take on routine follow-up so our buyers can spend their time on sourcing and supplier relationships. Our people stay in control, and the agents give them more capacity every day."
"Medical distribution is a demanding place to put AI agents to work, because accuracy and timeliness matter to customers," said Kalyan Kommineni, Founder and CEO of DeepFabric. "TwinMed started with the everyday procurement work that keeps supplies moving."
As the rollout continues, TwinMed plans to track results such as discrepancy resolution time, past-due purchase orders and dropship invoice timeliness.
