Unitech HT730 Plus Keeps Cold Chain Operations Moving at -30°C
PR Newswire
TAIPEI, Sept. 21, 2026
TAIPEI, Sept. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- To address the growing demands across cold chain logistics, warehousing, and manufacturing, Unitech introduces the HT730 Plus Rugged Handheld Terminal. Featuring a dedicated Cold Chain model operating down to -30°C, 32-meter long-range scanning, 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, and eSIM, the device enhances operational efficiency across industrial environments. Powered by Android 14 with Google Mobile Services (GMS) and Android Enterprise Recommended (AER), the HT730 Plus delivers reliable performance for enterprise workflows.

Purpose-Built for -30°C Cold Chain Reliability
In cold storage and freezing environments, extremely low temperatures can cause slow screen responses and reduced device performance. The HT730 Plus Cold Chain model features an integrated heater module for stable operation down to -30°C, helping prevent abnormal screen responses, internal condensation, data loss, and operational downtime. Furthermore, the device offers IP65/IP67 dust and water protection and withstands 2.4-meter drops with a bumper, providing robust, enterprise-grade protection for cold storage facilities.
32-Meter Long-Range Scanning for Greater Efficiency
With a barcode reading range of up to 32 meters, the HT730 Plus allows workers to scan high warehouse racks and distant pallets safely from the ground. It supports a wide range of symbologies, including 1D, 2D, DotCode, and OCR, enabling accurate data capture while reducing manual data entry errors. The ergonomic 30-degree tilt-down scanning design, combined with keypad options (29 or 38 keys), facilitates comfortable one-handed operation and reduces worker fatigue during intensive scanning shifts.
Seamless Connectivity and Processing Power
Driven by the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 4490 Octa-core processor, the HT730 Plus delivers powerful performance for data-intensive enterprise applications. It also incorporates advanced wireless technologies, including 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth® 5.2, supporting reliable, real-time data transmission.
Notably, the integration of eSIM technology enables secure, hassle-free network provisioning, simplifying large-scale device deployment and connectivity management by eliminating the need to manually install or replace SIM cards on individual devices.
Additionally, SmartPA technology improves audio quality and volume while helping protect the speaker from electrical and thermal damage, enabling clearer alerts and voice communication in noisy work environments.
