Together, they form a global leader in active learning, with over 1,000 higher education institutions and corporate learning teams and the scale and community to build the next generation of engagement tools.
BRUSSELS, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Wooclap, the active learning platform for live teaching and training, today announced the acquisition of Vevox, the UK-based audience engagement platform. Their shared ambition: to build the best platform to help teachers and trainers strengthen their impact in the AI era.

The combined group serves leading universities including Duke, the University of Alberta, and Durham as well as enterprise customers such as Deloitte, BP, NHS, and Dior.
The acquisition comes one year after Impact Expansion's investment in Wooclap to accelerate its international expansion. Since then, Impact Expansion has supported Wooclap's growth ambitions, a journey that has now led to this acquisition.
Active pedagogy in live sessions, essential in the AI era
At a time when AI raises fundamental questions about how education is delivered, the value of bringing people together to learn will depend more than ever on creating experiences that are active, collaborative, and deeply engaging — far beyond what a student or learner can achieve alone behind a screen. Tools that enable participants to engage, reflect, and collaborate in groups become crucial in the learning process.
Wooclap and Vevox have developed capabilities designed precisely to do that: transform passive audiences into active participants.
Two complementary approaches to live engagement
Wooclap has built its expertise around active learning, combining learning science, neuroscience, and technology to increase participation, stimulate critical thinking, and improve learning outcomes.
Vevox has built its success around "Value Every Voice" by creating inclusive participation experiences that enable everyone to contribute and be heard.
Together, these approaches form a powerful foundation for learning experiences that are more active, inclusive, and effective.
An unmatched customer network to support product innovation
The acquisition brings together more than two products. It unites two global communities of teachers, trainers, and learning designers, giving the group direct access to the priorities and feedback of more than 1,000 higher education institutions and corporate training teams worldwide. The scale of the network is crucial for conducting research at scale, sharing best practices across institutions, and addressing the needs of every discipline with great precision.
"Bringing Wooclap and Vevox together is about more than combining two products — it's about uniting two communities whose first priority is to maximize learning outcomes. We are building toward one goal: better and more inclusive learning."
— Baudouin Corman, CEO of Wooclap
"With the Wooclap team and its network alongside ours, we have the scale and trust to build the next generation of AI-powered engagement tools, designed with and for the people who teach and train."
— Pete Eyre, Managing Director of Vevox
For now, Wooclap and Vevox will continue to operate as two separate platforms, and customers can continue to use the products and services they rely on today. In time, the ambition is to bring the best of both together in a unified experience, combining exceptional ease of use with a deep understanding of the needs of teachers, trainers, and participants. This evolution will be designed to be seamless for existing users.
