'Truth API' will be available to institutional customers starting next month
President Donald Trump's media company wants traders and investors to pay for fast access to Truth Social posts.
Donald Trump's media company wants traders and investors to pay for "the fastest" access to posts from Truth Social accounts like the president's own, which often moves markets.
Trump Media & Technology Group (DJT) said Thursday that it's planning to launch a feed giving real-time access to the highest-ranking Truth Social accounts. Trump frequently uses his account to post policy decisions and comments that impact equity and energy markets.
"Markets already move on Truth Social posts," said Kevin McGurn, Trump Media's interim chief executive. "As adoption grows, we expect Truth API to become a meaningful, ongoing source of revenue for the company."
The president is Trump Media's largest shareholder, owning 41% held through a revocable trust in which he is the sole beneficiary.
Thursday's move is the latest expansion by the company, which has also announced a merger with a nuclear-fusion company.

Trump Media said that it anticipates that what it's calling the Truth API data feed will be available to customers beginning Aug. 1.
