Paramount Global mulls replacing CEO Bakish as it pursues merger

Paramount Global's (PARA) board is mulling replacing Chief Executive Bob Bakish with a committee of top executives to run the entertainment giant on an interim basis as the company considers a sale, according to a Wall Street Journal report on Friday. The plan being discussed by the Paramount board would put in place an office of the CEO, which would be made up of the company's division heads, upon Bakish's departure, the Journal reported. Paramount is reportedly in merger talks with Skydance Media.
