Execs Filippo Gori and Doug Petno announce department heads in the bank's global investment banking unit

JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s newly named co-heads of global banking, Filippo Gori and Doug Petno, have announced their choices to head up their global investment banking unit.

The move comes about five weeks after a flurry of leadership changes at the bank that also included the departure of head of global investment banking, Viswas Raghavan, who left to be executive vice chair and head of banking at Citigroup Inc. (C).

Gori and Petno named Dorothee Blessing and Jay Horine as global co-heads of investment banking coverage for JPMorgan Chase (JPM), with Kevin Foley as global head of capital markets and Anu Aiyengar as global head of advisory, according to an internal memo seen by MarketWatch.

Chris Ventresca was named presiding global chair representative.

Blessing, Horine, Foley, Aiyengar and Ventresca will all report directly to Petno and Gori.

Tanguy Piret, Rod Reed and John Purcell will become global chairs.

Gori and Petno also named about 20 additional bankers for various investment banking units including consumer, retail and business services, diversified industries, energy and renewables, financial institutions, healthcare, infrastructure, media, midcap banking, real estate and technology.

The bank also named bankers to head up its Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Latin America regions.

Foley will continue as global head of debt capital markets and will also lead equity capital markets. Achintya Mangla, the former global head of equity capital markets, has told the bank he plans to leave to pursue outside opportunities after more than 20 years at the bank.

JPMorgan's stock has risen 16.1% in 2024, compared with a 9.1% gain by the S&P 500 SPX.
