Lincoln Tech Expands Career Training Program to Address New Jersey’s Skilled Labor Shortage

Parsippany, NJ, Oct. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On Friday, October 30th, Lincoln Tech’s South Plainfield, NJ campus will celebrate its newest career training option: Electrical and Electronic Systems Technology (EEST). Local and regional hiring managers will join students, Lincoln faculty and staff, and industry associates to mark the occasion with a ribbon cutting and campus tours. The event will begin at 11 a.m. and is open to all members of the public and media.

The Electrical/Electronics industry is projected to add more than 17,000 positions across New Jersey by 2034*. Lincoln Tech’s training programs are designed to have students "job-ready" in about one year, with skills for repairing and maintaining both residential and commercial systems. Upon completion of the program, students will be encouraged to apply for advanced manufacturer-sponsored training with organizations such as Johnson Controls International and the Food Processing Suppliers Association.

These global employers are actively seeking new candidates to join their workforces, and cover tuition for accepted applicants. Because these programs are available at select Lincoln Tech campuses, relocation expenses are also covered – meaning graduates can embark on a more direct route to their new career at little to no additional cost.
