PepsiCo Gets Renewed Contract for KFC International
By Kelly Cloonan
KFC renewed its contract with PepsiCo as its beverage provider in several international markets.
The move comes after KFC, a division of Yum Brands, struck a deal to switch from longtime supplier Pepsi to Coca-Cola at thousands of its U.S. restaurants.
Under the renewed contract, KFC will continue to serve Pepsi beverages at locations across Australia, India, U.K., Spain, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Belgium.
Pepsi said it will also work with KFC to tailor beverage selections and menu offerings to local tastes, in addition to helping the fast-food chain expand its beverage lineup to appeal to Gen Z.
"PepsiCo is moving at the speed of culture, bringing new capabilities and category-leading innovation, to help KFC build a more modern, distinctive and relevant beverage business," said Eugene Willemsen, chief executive officer of international beverages at PepsiCo.
