Tesla 'Winding Down' Production of Cybertruck, Musk Says

By Farah Elias

Tesla will wind down production of the Cybertruck at its Texas gigafactory next year, Chief Executive Elon Musk said.

In a post on X on Friday, Musk said the move is to "make room" for increased production of its self-driving Cybercab.

The decision comes as the stainless-steel pickup has experienced slow demand and Musk said the company is pivoting its business toward robotaxis and humanoid robots.

The electric-vehicle maker discontinued its luxury Model S and X vehicles earlier this year.
