SpaceX Partners With Qualcomm to Accelerate Wireless Ambitions

By Connor Hart

SpaceX selected Qualcomm Technologies to provide cellular technology to Starlink, as the Elon Musk-led company looks to move its satellite service beyond broadband and into the wireless market.

Under the agreement, Qualcomm will supply SpaceX with its Dragonwing Cellular Infrastructure platforms, supporting Starlink's terrestrial base stations and enabling high-capacity U.S. nationwide coverage.

The collaboration represents a commercial step toward the companies' broader vision for AI-native 6G infrastructure, SpaceX and Qualcomm said Wednesday.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
