Metlen Energy & Metals Signs LNG Supply Deal With Shell
By Anthony O. Goriainoff
Metlen Energy & Metals said it signed a liquefied natural gas supply deal with Shell.
The Greece-based company on Monday said Shell would supply it with six LNG cargoes a year for a five-year period starting in 2027.
The cargoes of around 0.6 billion cubic meters a year would primarily come from Shell's U.S. LNG portfolio, Metlen said. They will be supplied to Greece and other European gas markets.
London-listed Metlen said the move supports its plan to grow stronger by securing long-term supply deals, diversifying its portfolio and enhancing its commercial flexibility.
