Canadian National Railway Names Lockwood as Financial Chief
By Adam L. Cataldo
Canadian National Railway picked Jamie Lockwood to be its next chief financial officer, effective Feb. 1.
Current CFO Ghislain Houle will continue in the role through Jan. 31 to maintain continuity through the year-end reporting cycle, the company said Thursday.
Houle would then take on the title of strategic adviser to the president and chief executive officer to help support a smooth and orderly transition. His final day with the company is expected to be March 31, and after that he plans to retire.
Lockwood is currently vice president of investor relations and special projects. He joined the company in 2008 and since then has held leadership roles of increasing responsibility across multiple departments at the company, Canadian National said.
"His appointment follows a comprehensive succession planning process and reflects CN's focus on developing strong internal talent and ensuring leadership continuity," the company said.
