Nvidia to Invest $3 Billion in Meta's Equity Offering as They Expand AI Partnership
By Megan Cheah and Fabiana Negrin Ochoa
Nvidia and Meta Platforms are expanding their partnership on the Facebook parent's artificial-intelligence offering Muse, a move they said reflects demand for "useful" AI agents.
As part of the deepened collaboration, Meta intends to increase the deployment of Nvidia infrastructure, including Vera Rubin and Vera central processing units for next-generation AI agents, the companies said in a statement.
They are also considering working together in other areas like monitoring agent behavior.
In addition, Nvidia will invest $3 billion in Meta's planned equity fundraise.
Meta on Monday announced a plan to raise up to $95 billion in waves of stock offerings to bankroll its massive investments in AI infrastructure.
The tech giant initially said it would launch roughly $35 billion in public offerings, comprising $22.5 billion of Class A common stock and $12.5 billion of depositary shares representing mandatory convertible preferred stock.
It then upsized the common stock offering tranche to $25 billion. The Class A shares are priced at $625 each, while the depository shares are priced at $50 apiece.
