Tech Up as AI Bubble Fears Subside — Tech Roundup

Shares of technology companies rose as fears about an artificial-intelligence bubble subsided.

AI giant Anthropic filed an S-1 registration form for an initial-public offering with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The maker of AI models and agents intends to go public the week of Nov. 16, and could raise $100 billion or more in an IPO that would value it at between $1.5 trillion and $2 trillion.

One strategist said Anthropic's robust revenue growth rate boded well for tech stocks.

"I don't see this bubble that people are talking about," said J.D. Joyce, president of Houston financial advisory Joyce Wealth Management. "There's a night and day difference between dotcom holdings and AI companies -- they were nothing like the quality of companies now."

Meta Platforms shares fell after it unveiled a plan to raise up to $95 billion in waves of stock offerings, as the Facebook owner continues its big spending on AI infrastructure.

CoreWeave shares rose, even after SpaceX Chief Executive Elon Musk predicted consolidation and failures among the "neocloud" companies like CoreWeave and Nebius, comparing them to vulnerable "guppy" fish.

Microsoft offered voluntary buyouts to about 60,000 employees across several countries including the U.S.
