EPA Approves Flotek's VeraCAL for Flare Monitoring at Petroleum Refineries

Flotek Industries said its proprietary VeraCAL optical system was given approval by the Environmental Protection Agency as an alternative for measuring flare vent gas composition and net heating value at refineries.

Flotek said the approval strengthens its position in compliance measurement and creates opportunities to serve refinery customers, broaden its customer base and grow through near real-time data solutions.

The action marks VeraCAL's second EPA alternative-method approval, following its initial approval in July 2024, the company said.
