Toyota Issues Recall Due to Risk Fuel Tubes May Disconnect

By Connor Hart

Toyota is recalling certain vehicles over concerns that the fuel tube connection, located near the fuel tank, may disconnect and leak.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said a fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

The recall covers nearly 106,000 vehicles, including certain hybrid Toyota Land Cruisers manufactured between 2024 and 2027.

Dealers will inspect the connection and install a supplemental clamp and/or replace the resin fuel tube, as necessary and free of charge, the NHTSA said.
