Industrials Down After Mixed Earnings - Industrials Roundup
Shares of industrial and transportation companies were more or less flat after mixed earnings.
General Motors shares fell as rising commodity and logistics costs dented third-quarter profit.
GE Aerospace shares fell even after the jet-engine maker raised its full-year earnings growth projection and sounded optimistic notes about demand.
RTX, the aerospace and defense contractor formerly known as Raytheon, was more or less flat even after the company boosted its 2026 growth projection for the third time this year. Rival Northrop Grumman shares rallied after Chief Executive Kathy Warden said strong sales growth is likely to continue because the U.S. and its allies were in the midst of a multiyear upswing in defense spending.
Shares of Swiss manufacturing and tech conglomerate ABB fell as weakness in some pockets of its technology business offset strong demand from data centers.
