Alphabet's Google said services were recovering after a cloud outage on Tuesday disrupted online services for several U.K. banks and other businesses.
As of the European afternoon, Google Cloud said it was seeing the recovery of services for most workloads in its London region, after mitigating a power event that caused an outage within the area.
Earlier on Tuesday, Google Cloud said its europe-west2 region--listed on the company's website as London--had been experiencing multiple issues since 0608 GMT.
U.K. banks including HSBC, Revolut and Lloyds reported disruption to their services.
Revolut services such as card payments, transfers, ATM withdrawals, currency exchange and stock trading were unavailable, according to the company's website.
"We are currently experiencing a service disruption affecting multiple services. We can confirm that all our customers' money and data are safe," a Revolut Bank spokesperson said.
"We've been working to fix the issue since it was identified this morning and apologize to anyone affected and for any inconvenience caused."
Lloyds said customers can log into its app normally, but that there have been issues with some online services.
"We are aware of similar issues affecting other organizations and are monitoring the situation closely," a Lloyds spokesperson said.
Postal-service operator Royal Mail also said it was aware of the issue, but added that its letter and parcel deliveries continued to operate as normal.
