Haemonetics Gets FDA Approval for Vascular Closure Device

By Elias Schisgall

Haemonetics received approval from U.S. regulators for its PerQseal Elite vascular closure system for use in large-bore arterial procedures.

The medical technology company on Monday said the Food and Drug Administration's approval of the device adds another entry into its large-bore closure device portfolio for heart and endovascular procedures.

"FDA approval represents an important milestone in our strategy to bolster our presence and growth in advanced vascular closure, with new and meaningful innovation to meet evolving procedural needs," Chief Medical Officer Jan Hartmann said.

Shares ticked up 1.1% to $120.00 in after-hours trading.
