DHL Group Lifts Guidance After Positive Earnings, Strong Peak-Season Forecast

By Andrea Figueras

DHL Group upgraded its outlook for 2026 on the back of positive momentum and prospects of a strong seasonal peak in the last quarter of the year.

The German logistics company said Friday that it now expects earnings before interest and taxes to surpass 7 billion euros, or $7.86 billion, compared with a prior forecast of more than 6.5 billion euros. The group intends to review its midterm earnings guidance in March.

"Business development in the third quarter showed a broad-based growth in demand and, overall, positive earnings momentum for the group, particularly in the DHL Express division," it said.

According to preliminary figures, the group made EBIT of roughly 1.71 billion euros for the quarter through September, up around 16% compared with the same period a year earlier. Group revenue jumped more than 12% on year to nearly 22.6 billion euros.

The company also upgraded its target for free cash flow excluding net mergers and acquisitions to more than 3.2 billion euros, up from approximately 3 billion euros previously.

Capital expenditure is now estimated at around 3.6 billion euros from a prior range between 3 billion euros and 3.3 billion euros.

DHL plans to publish its third-quarter report on Nov. 5.
