Airbus Gets Order for 75 A320neo Aircraft From Aviation Capital Group
By Michael Hennessey
Airbus said it has received a firm order for 75 A320neo family aircraft from U.S.-based aircraft asset manager Aviation Capital Group.
It takes Aviation Capital's total historical order for this type of aircraft to 190, the European plane maker said Friday.
Airbus said it has received 20,400 orders globally for the A320 family of aircraft, making it the world's most popular single-aisle aircraft. The family of aircraft includes both the A320neo and the A321neo.
"This major investment reinforces our long-term and important partnership which dates back to 2007 when ACG placed its first direct order with Airbus. ACG will be able to offer its customers the A320neo Family well into the next decade," said Benoit de Saint-Exupery, Airbus's executive vice president for sales in the commercial aircraft business.
