Adobe, Nvidia Expand Partnership to Speed AI-Powered Creative Tools

By Connor Hart

Adobe and Nvidia are expanding their partnership, working to speed up artificial-intelligence-powered features across Adobe's creative software and cloud-based platforms.

Adobe will optimize its flagship applications, including Photoshop, Premiere and Substance 3D, for Nvidia's RTX Spark technology, aiming to deliver up to twice the performance for certain AI processing, editing and visual effects tasks, the companies said Thursday.

The expanded collaboration builds on a strategic partnership announced in March aimed at accelerating creative, production and marketing workflows using Nvidia's AI models and computing technology.

Financial terms of the expanded collaboration weren't disclosed.

Adobe said it has redesigned parts of Photoshop to improve responsiveness when removing objects and applying visual effects. The companies are also accelerating video editing, rendering and AI-powered features in Premiere, as well as texturing workflows in Substance 3D.

The partnership also extends to Adobe's cloud-based video collaboration platform Frame.io, where Nvidia's technology is being used to accelerate media processing and content searches.

Adobe said it will additionally optimize its Brand Concierge platform, which helps businesses deliver personalized customer interactions, using Nvidia's Nemotron AI models. The updated version is expected to become available to enterprise customers later this year.
