Adlai Nortye to Work With Eli Lilly, Merck on Trial for Cancer Treatment

Adlai Nortye Group inked agreements for Eli Lilly and Merck to work on a trial for its AN4035, which is in development to treat certain types of tumors.
The biotechnology company said Thursday the clinical-trial collaboration-and-supply agreements will support its Phase 1 trial evaluating AN4035 both as monotherapy and in combination with cetuximab.
Lilly will supply cetuximab at no cost for the U.S. clinical trial sites, and Merck will supply cetuximab at no cost for the Australia and China clinical trial sites, Adlai Nortye said.
Adlai Nortye is the sponsor of the trial, it said.
The trial aims to evaluate AN4035 in patients with CEACAM5-enriched, RAS-addicted solid tumors. CEACAM5 is overexpressed in colorectal, pancreatic and lung cancers, which are tumor types that frequently harbor RAS, or rat sarcoma, mutations, Adlai Nortye said.
Adlai Nortye shares were up 2.9% to $11.20 in premarket trading.
