Hyundai Recalls Over 94,600 Genesis Vehicles
By Katherine Hamilton
Hyundai Motor is recalling 94,622 of its Genesis model vehicles.
The front power-seat motors in the vehicles may overheat due to a stuck power-seat control switch, which could result in a fire while parked or driving, according to a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The vehicles being recalled include Hyundai Genesis models made in 2015 through 2016, as well as Genesis G80 models made in 2017 through 2020.
Owners are advised to park their vehicles outdoors and away from other cars or structures until the repair has been performed. The fix is currently under development.
Hyundai is sending notification letters to owners on Dec. 7.
