Starbucks Boosts Quarterly Dividend by 1.6%

Starbucks is boosting its quarterly dividend by 1.6% to 63 cents a share, up from 62 cents a share.
The new payout, equal to $2.52 a year, represents a 2.7% annual yield based on the coffee chain's Wednesday closing price of $93.58.
The dividend is payable on Nov. 27 to shareholders of record as of Nov. 13.
"Today's dividend increase reflects our continued confidence and belief that disciplined execution of our Back to Starbucks strategy will drive sustainable long-term growth and value creation," Chief Financial Officer Cathy Smith said.
