Ecopetrol Names Alfonso Barco Muñoz as Acting CEO

Ecopetrol named Alfonso Camilo Barco Muñoz as acting chief executive officer effective Tuesday. as the current CEO is retiring.
He succeeds Juan Carlos Hurtado Parra, whose retirement became effective Tuesday under a plan that he and the company agreed to in July.
Barco Muñoz, who also serves as an alternate legal representative of Ecopetrol, has been vice president of finance and sustainable value.
He has more than 35 years of senior executive experience, including in banking, corporate finance and energy.
