Rheinmetall to Build New Logistics Center at German Airport
By Mauro Orru
Rheinmetall said it would create a new logistics and technology center at Germany's Kassel-Calden Airport.
The German defense group said it had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Hesse state government, which will contribute to total investments that should be in the three-digit-million-euro-range.
Rheinmetall said the facility, set to be operational at the end of next year, would significantly boost its operational capacity and allow it to better process both domestic and international orders given its proximity to the airport.
The company said it would also establish a drone test center at its new site in Calden, near the airport.
