T. Rowe Price to Acquire F/m Investments
By Kelly Cloonan
T. Rowe Price Group plans to acquire F/m Investments, a fixed-income asset manager that specializes in exchange-traded funds.
The investment management firm said Thursday the deal aims to bolster its fixed-income capabilities, accelerate growth in its ETF business and broaden its offerings.
F/m Investments had about $19 billion in assets under management as of July 31 across ETFs, institutional separate accounts, and both taxable and municipal separately managed accounts.
T. Rowe Price expects its fixed-income assets under management would increase by nearly 9% with the close of the deal, more than doubling its fixed-income ETF assets under management and expanding its fixed income SMA business.
The companies expect the transaction to close in early 2027. They didn't disclose the financial terms of the deal.
Upon the close of the deal, F/m would operate as "F/m Investments, a T. Rowe Price Company," keeping its brand, leadership, investment approach and day-to-day operating model.
F/m Chief Executive Alexander Morris would report to T. Rowe Price's head of global fixed income, Arif Husain, and F/m employees would become T. Rowe Price associates.
