Vinspace Signs SpaceX Launch Contract for 2027 Satellite Mission
By Anvee Bhutani
VinSpace said Tuesday it signed a launch contract with SpaceX for its satellites to fly aboard a Transporter rideshare mission in 2027, marking a step toward developing Vietnam's domestic space industry.
Under the agreement, VinSpace will be responsible for developing, manufacturing and operating the satellites, which will be used to demonstrate its in-house technologies in orbit and build its satellite-engineering capabilities.
The company said the mission is part of its broader plan to develop capabilities across the space industry, from satellite design and manufacturing to launch management, operations and space-data products.
VinSpace announced plans in April to develop and launch its first satellites in 2027. The company said selecting SpaceX as its launch provider reflects its strategy of working with leading global technology companies as it builds Vietnam's space capabilities.
