Rheinmetall said it secured an extension to an order from the German army with a gross value of more than 500 million euros ($578.6 million).

The German defense group said Monday that it would supply further mobile rescue stations to the German army as part of an extension of a previous order, delivering an additional 149 protected and unprotected systems.

The contract also provides optional additional orders for armoured and unarmoured systems, it said.

The production of the rescue stations is set to start in the first quarter of 2027.
