CAIS Valuation Tops $2 Billion as Vista Equity Leads Series D Financing

CAIS, which "set its sights on leveling the playing field" for access to alternative investments, reported a valuation of more than $2 billion and a $170 million Series D financing led by Vista Equity Partners.

Other participants in the financing included AllianceBernstein, funds managed by Blue Owl Capital, Carlyle Group, Fortress Investment Group, Golub Capital, Lord Abbett and Royal Bank of Canada.

New York-based CAIS was founded in 2009. Investors have included Apollo Global Management and Franklin Templeton. As of January 2022, valuation was more than $1 billion.

CAIS said Wednesday that it serves over 2,500 wealth-management firms, representing more than 65,000 financial advisors. It said its artificial-intelligence research agent, CAISey, provides instant access to platform data and insights through simple, conversational prompts and is integrated with Anthropic's Claude.
