Air Liquide Backs Guidance After Revenue, Margin Improvements

Air Liquide backed its guidance after first-half revenue rose and its margin improved.
The French industrial-gases company said Tuesday that revenue for the first half of 2026 rose 0.8% from the same period a year prior to 13.83 billion euros, equivalent to $15.71 billion. Revenue rose 4.3% excluding currency and energy impacts, and 2.6% on a comparable basis.
Its gas-and-services business--which represents the majority of revenue--was up 2.6% on a comparable basis at 13.41 billion euros.
The company said it delivered nearly 300 million euros in efficiency gains, helping its operating margin rise by more than 1 percentage point to 20.9%.
Net profit for the period rose 1.2% to 1.82 billion euros.
Air Liquide backed its outlook for the year, remaining confident in its ability to increase its operating margin by 1 percentage point and deliver recurring net profit growth at constant exchange rates.
