Experian Top FTSE 100 Index Fallers on Slowing Organic Revenue Growth

Experian shares were trading lower and leading the FTSE 100 index losers after the credit-reporting agency posted a slowing down of organic revenue growth.

Shares were down 79 pence, or 2.9%, at 26.30 pounds in early afternoon European trading. They are currently down 22% over the year to date.

The Dublin, Ireland-headquartered company said Thursday that organic revenue grew 7% in the first quarter compared with 9% in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026.

In North America--the company's biggest region generating about 67% of group revenue--organic growth was 7%, compared with 9% in the second half of its last fiscal year.

Latin America--which generates 15% of group revenue--grew revenue 12% organically in line with the second half of fiscal 2026.

U.K. and Ireland organic revenue grew 5% in the first quarter, while EMEA and Asia Pacific grew 1% compared with 3% for both regions in the second half of fiscal 2026.

The company said its full-year expectations were unchanged. It previously forecast fiscal 2027 group organic revenue growth of 6% to 8% and double-digit benchmark earnings per share growth.

Revenue for the year ended March 31 was $8.445 billion, while benchmark EPS was 179.8 cents.
