Eos Energy Enterprises Gets Golden Dome Contract From Pentagon
By Stephen Nakrosis
Eos Energy Enterprises received a contract to provide long-duration energy storage support for the U.S. Golden Dome anti-missile and anti-air defense shield.
Eos said Wednesday it would provide its Z3 zinc-based long-duration energy storage technology as an initial prototype at a critical installation. The program is designed to scale as national defense needs evolve.
Michelle Buczkowski, the company's chief administration officer, said Eos spent the last year building relationships, compliance foundation and technical proof points required by the Defense Department.
The value of the award was not disclosed. Eos designs and builds zinc-based, long-duration energy storage systems.
