Kering Appoints Romain Spitzer as Bottega Veneta CEO
By Mauro Orru
Kering appointed Romain Spitzer as chief executive of its Bottega Veneta fashion house as of Sept. 1.
The French luxury-goods group said Spitzer would be based in Milan and join the group's executive committee, reporting to CEO Luca de Meo. Spitzer will succeed Bartolomeo Rongone, who left the helm of Bottega Veneta earlier this year to join Italian high-end apparel maker Moncler as CEO.
Spitzer has more than three decades of experience in the luxury industry. He most recently served as president and CEO of fragrance at LVMH Beauty.
