Air Liquide to Invest Over $200 Million to Expand Production at Oxea's Texas Site

By Joshua Kirby

Air Liquide said it would invest more than $200 million to boost production at its partner Oxea's site in Bay City, Texas.

The French supplier of industrial gases said the money would go to build a new partial-oxidation unit at the site to help meet demand for Oxea's range of chemicals. The move "leverages its long standing presence at one of the most feedstock-advantaged sites in the U.S. Gulf Coast," Air Liquide said in a release Thursday.

"Air Liquide continue to...seize opportunities in key industrial basins with low-carbon, competitive, innovative and reliable solutions," the company said.
