PNC Financial Services Raises Dividend by 18% to $2.00
By Colin Kellaher
PNC Financial Services Group's board has raised the quarterly dividend by 18%, to $2.00 from $1.70, following through on a pledge made last month after the Federal Reserve's annual stress test.
The new payout, equal to $8.00 a year, represents an annual yield of 3.18% based on Monday's trading price of $251.68, up from 2.7%.
The Pittsburgh financial-services company said the increased dividend is payable Aug. 5 to shareholders of record July 20.
PNC and a collection of its peers all passed the Fed's annual stress tests, and several responded with plans for stock buybacks and dividend increases.
