Shares of banks and other financial institutions were more or less flat as traders rotated into lagging sectors from the high-flying technology industry group.

Managers of private-credit funds, which have significant exposure to the tech sector, sold off, however.

Shares of Blue Owl, Ares Management and KKR fell by 3% or more.

Accounting firm Eide Bailly agreed to sell a stake to Reverence Capital Partners, in a deal valuing it at about $1.8 billion as Eide seeks to accelerate artificial intelligence adoption.
