U.S. Soybean Export Inspections Drop Back

Soybean exports inspected by the Department of Agriculture for the week ended June 4 are down from both the same time last week and last year.

In its latest weekly Grain Export Inspections report, the USDA said inspections of U.S. soybeans totaled 398,186 metric tons for the week. That's down from 505,109 tons in the prior week, as well as 558,910 tons at this time last year.

Corn inspections were up from both this time last week and last year, totaling 1.91 million tons this week. Wheat inspections were 319,730 tons, down from this time last week and last year.

CBOT grains were mixed in trading Monday morning. Most-active corn futures were up 0.2%, while soybeans sank 0.5% and wheat rose 1%.
