Veru to Conduct Enobosarm Clinical Study With Novo Nordisk's Weight-Loss Pill Wegovy

  Veru agreed to conduct a clinical study of one of its treatments in combination with Novo Nordisk's Wegovy weight loss drug. 



  Under the terms of a supply agreement with Novo, Veru will conduct and sponsor a Phase 2b study to test the combination of Wegovy and enobosarm, a selective androgen receptor modulator developed by Veru, in older adults with obesity. Novo will supply Wegovy at no cost. 



  Veru also granted Novo a right of first negotiation if the company decides to develop, commercialize, or license enobosarm in combination with any of Novo's GLP-1 products, including Wegovy. 



  Shares of Veru soared on the news, gaining more than one-and-a-half times their value and trading at $5.74 Thursday. The stock has nearly tripled in value this year.
