Lowe's Raises Quarterly Dividend by 4.2% to $1.25

Lowe's Cos.' board has raised the home-improvement retailer's quarterly dividend by 4.2%, to $1.25 from $1.20.

The new payout, equal to $5 a year, represents an annual yield of about 2.29% based on Thursday's closing price of $217.92, up from 2.2%.

The Mooresville, N.C., company on Friday said the increased dividend is payable Aug. 5 to shareholders of record July 22.
